After selling out the first day they opened, Vegan Mob has continued to be a hit with local Soul Food and BBQ lovers.
Owner and chef, Toriano Gordon aspires to create delicious and comforting meals that are also healthy. To achieve this, he uses his grandmother’s recipes, substituting plant-based ingredients. The flavors and textures are so spot-on, you’ll forget that your meal is completely vegan!

A pioneer in the plant-based food movement, The Veg Hub’s creator, Chef Chew, has been spreading his gift for making hearty and satiating vegan cuisine for over ten years.
The bistro is located in Oakland’s Dimond district. It offers lunch and dinner items including sandwiches and plates. Try the fried chicken and porterhouse steak. They are so good, you won’t even miss the real thing! They also have tasty sides like plant-based mac n’ cheese, yams, and nachos.
The counter service eatery is open Monday through Thursday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Eli’s is a place known for its stiff drinks, punk rock shows, and great vegan food! They have some of the most innovative vegan bar bites including their Crustwrap, which is their vegan version of Taco Bell’s popular Crunch Wrap, jack fruit taquitos, and Beyond burger. Along with their in-house vegan bites, they host Tacos El Precioso and S+M Vegan pop-ups on alternating Tuesdays!
Located on the border of Temescal and Hoover-Foster, the bar opens at 2:00 pm Monday through Friday and at 10:00 am on Saturday and Sunday.
Classic Cars West Beer Garden (411 26th St Ste B, Oakland, CA 94612)
If you are an individual who appreciates vintage cars, craft beer, and plant-based comfort food, Classic Cars West Beer Garden is the place for you! Their large indoor-outdoor space displays local artwork and classic cars that are for sale!
Their food menu consists of plant-based versions of American diner classics including several renditions of the popular Impossible Burger, French fries, and vegan wings. They also have a very popular weekend brunch at which they offer plant-based versions of breakfast staples including chicken and waffles and scrambles.

Lovers of Donut Farm’s brunch, rejoice! There is a new Jack London Square location that focuses on the delicious breakfast and lunch items that keep the San Pablo shop packed during the weekends. They have a great selection on American and Latin fusion fare including biscuits and gravy, scrambles, chilaquiles, and tacos! Of course, they also offer a selection of their staple cake donuts.
