Threadz Culture + Fashion

Urban clothing store that is rich with Bay Area subculture vibes.

Threadz Culture + Fashion is an innovative fusion of culture and fashion which is reflected through their urban clothing collection. The atmosphere represents the surrounding Bay Area and Oakland subculture. Chris and Maurion are the owners of this ambitious and community oriented store. They are longtime friends that bonded over their love for urban fashion and music. They opened Threadz in September of 2016 and just recently added a music studio on the second story of the shop!

Threadz lives by their slogan “Survival of the Fitted.” Your purchase is guaranteed to be a unique eye catcher and crowd pleaser. Pieces are carefully selected and ordered in small batches so you’ll never have to worry about running into someone with the same outfit as yours. This also means that once an item is sold out, it is replaced with a new item, so if you see something that you like make sure to grab it before it is too late. You can view some of their newest arrivals by following them on Instagram.

Want to keep up with the latest fashion trends, but can’t make it to their brick and mortar? Visit them online. They have a huge selection of men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing that can be purchased online or at the store . Need fashion inspiration? Make sure to keep an eye out for their multi-cultural street team. You can see them at several events around the Bay Area modeling the newest merchandise that Threadz has to offer.

Are you an individual with impeccable style that keeps all of your outfits in mint condition? Make some space for new pieces while also giving other fashion forward people the opportunity to wear your one of a kind pieces. Threadz Culture + Fashion sells clothing on consignment at a 25/75 split.

This business was nominated for the 2017 Oakland Indie Awards for being an “Innovative Newcomer” which is a business or artist who started in the last three years that excites and inspires the community with a creative new idea, perspective, model, or solution. They are extremely involved in the growth and success of the Fairfax Business district, as well as the surrounding community. They host a Free Food Box Giveaway every two months, offering high-end non-perishable foods to local residents. They also have a Summer Block Party and Anniversary Party to bring the community together to celebrate the neighborhood and the growing business district.
