RBA Creative

Creative space that offers printing services, consulting, and studio space for artists and community members.

RBA Creative is a membership based creative co-working space and art gallery. The business has called Oakland’s Laurel district its home since 2017. It is an intimate open-format working space that allows members to connect with and inspire each other.

Owners Randolph and Erica wanted to create a space where artists, photographers, graphic designers, and other creative entrepreneurs could conduct their work while also having access to support and inspiration from other creatives in Oakland. Unlike other co-working spaces, RBA Creative offers a family-like working community. Members are encouraged to collaborate and help each other out.

They offer a variety of membership options. The co-working membership grants members 1 day per week, 3 day per week, or unlimited monthly use. Members have 24 hour access. So, regardless of what time of day you conduct business, the space will be available to you. Production memberships grant photographers between 5 or 10 hours per week of scheduled studio space use, copy machine and printer use, and discounts on other services.  The exhibitor membership allows artists to utilize gallery space to showcase and sell their art. All membership rates can be found on their website.

Along with the monthly memberships, RBA Creative offers creative business services including consulting, graphic design work, and printing services. Business services are by appointment, only. They also offer hourly photography space for individuals that need space for a single shoot. Not to mention their community events!

Make sure to check out their be-monthly jazz concert, thrown on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. It is a wonderful opportunity to listen to great music, view current art exhibits, and mingle with artists and community members. They also have events like paint and sip nights, open houses, and workshops. They are also a member of Oakland Art Murmur and participate in the monthly Saturday Stroll every 2nd Saturday of the month. You can find a full list of events online.
