Philippa grew up in a family of jewelry makers, and in 1996 she began her business in the basement of her apartment building in San Francisco. Since 2006, Philippa Roberts has been located in the Piedmont Avenue district. It has evolved from a jewelry shop to a lifestyle boutique that carries a variety of decorative goods and personal care products. Most goods sold at Philippa Roberts are made by American designers. You can find all kinds of lovely gifts for men, women, and children that fit all budgets.

Along with awesome accessories like bags, wallets, and scarves, you will see cool gifts such as books and home decor made by well-known artists. Philippa’s store also features her own jewelry designs that are hand made in store. These Oakland made pieces are unique yet timeless. Parking in the area consists of  metered street and 2 hour free parking. Piedmont Avenue is extremely walkable, and many visitors take AC Transit lines 57 or 51A. They also walk from MacArthur BART station.
