Belotti Bottega

Quick service pasta shop that serves unbelievably delicious handmade pastas, sauces, and desserts.

Belotti Bottega on Piedmont Avenue is a quick service pasta shop that offers freshly made pastas and sauces. The pasta can be cooked at home or prepared in house. The bottega, which means shop in Italian, is the second location with the Belotti name. The first is the full service Belotti Ristorante and Bottega on College Avenue.

Michele Botelli is the chef and owner of the two Belotti restaurants. Michele has classic culinary training obtained in Italy. His mother inspired him to pursue a career in Northern Italian cooking, and he has been making pasta since he was 15 years old. While he has worked in some of the best restaurants in the world, Michele’s dream has always been to open an intimate Northern Italian pasta shop in the Bay Area with a friendly neighborhood feel. Michele found exactly what he wanted in the space on Piedmont Avenue; he opened shop in October 2017.

The bottega is a small counter service store with limited bar seating. When you walk in, you will see a case with a variety of freshly made pastas including pappardelle, agnolotti, tortelli, scarpinocc, tagliolini, gnocchi, and lasagna. All of these pastas are made with high quality ingredients including flour imported from Italy, cage free eggs, and Seka Hill extra virgin olive oil. They also have house made sauces that pair perfectly with the exceptional pasta. Sauces include marinara, duck sugo, wild boar sugo, and bolognese. You can order any combination of pasta and sauce from their take out menu. They also offer appetizers, salads, and desserts.

Order your pasta uncooked and take it home to make an unforgettable dinner for friends and family. Don’t forget to try their wonderful desserts. They have panna cotta and tiramisu conveniently prepared in to go cups. Service is always fast, but if you are in a hurry, you are welcome to make a pick up order by phone or online. Check out their full menu here; the menus is as of February 2018.

The bottega is in front of an hourly paid parking lot, and is surrounded by metered parking. You can also order delivery through the third party delivery service Caviar. With so many options, you always have access to comforting Northern Italian cuisine made by people who truly care about the art of pasta making.
