The Grease Diner

DIY commercial screen printing studio that offers screen printing services, retail products, and classes.

The Grease Diner Gallery is an artist-run, POC-owned print shop that has been operating in North Oakland’s Golden Gate district since 2013. They are known for their clean and detailed work as well as their fast turn-around for printing services. They also have a great selection of retail screen printing goods including ink, meshes, frames, and apparel.

What sets this one-of-a-kind print shop apart from the rest is the fact that they rent their space and equipment out to independent artists and experienced screen printers. This allows small producers to maintain their business without having to purchase expensive equipment. Their one-on-one screen printing classes certify you as an experienced screen printer, allowing you to rent their space during open studio hours. Classes are offered for both t-shirt screen printing and fine art printing.

For inquiries about orders, feel free to stop by the shop or inquire online. To visit the shop, you can take AC Transit bus line 72 and stop at San Pablo and Alcatraz. The Ashby BART station is also a reasonable walk from the location. Free parking can also be found near the studio, either on San Pablo or on one of the residential side streets.
