Reem’s is a bakery and café that brings Arab flavors and culture to the Fruitvale District of Oakland with traditional fresh baked goods and street food.
Through the power of warm hospitality and comforting Middle Eastern delicacies, Reem’s aims to uplift the community by providing locals with living wage jobs that lead to careers with upward mobility, supporting local businesses and farms, and offering an inviting atmosphere to communicate and organize with your neighbors.
Reem’s offers both breakfast and lunch items, along with fresh baked breads and pastries. Their specialty is their Man’oushe, which is a 10″ oven-baked flat bread topped with various spices and herbs. There are also many sweet and savory pastry items ready to go for those looking for a quick bite before hopping on BART.
Don’t forget to grab a coffee beverage! Reem’s baristas can expertly execute your favorite espresso drink. Try a coffee with cardamom to complete your Arab street bakery experience.
The bakery is located on East 12th Street by the Fruitvale BART station, and it is open Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. This location encourages conversation, and does not provide WiFi.
