Italian Colors

Since 1993, Italian Colors has been the place to go for exquisite Mediterranean and Italian cuisine in Oakland’s Montclair district. Owners Alan and Dee Carlton are community-oriented people who have always invested in the neighborhood and in Oakland. They saw the need for a quality dining location in the neighborhood.

Alan is a French-trained chef who has loved cooking since he was in high school. He and his kitchen team make all items in house, when possible, using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. Their menu evolves with the changing tastes of the patrons, and they always welcome customer input. They are loved for their hearty and perfectly balanced pasta dishes, which can be made gluten-free. The restaurant has an upscale bistro vibe and offers both indoor and dog-friendly outdoor patio seating. They have a full bar where you can order one of their signature cocktails or take advantage of their well-curated and well-priced wine selection. To add to the ambiance, Italian Colors hosts a live guitarist every Wednesday through Sunday. Free 20-minute and 2-hour lot parking is available near the restaurant. Be sure to check the time limit dedicated to your space to avoid being ticketed.
