High Expectations is a minority-owned barbershop that has been in the Ivy Hill neighborhood since 2011. They maintain a positive environment where everyone is treated like a close friend. This multi-barber location currently has three seasoned barbers who have experience cutting men’s, women’s, and children’s hair. Leon obtained his cosmetology license in 1995, and has been perfecting his barber skills ever since. He offers all kinds of cuts and even does designs. He has experience working with all hair textures, making him a great resource for individuals with unruly or difficult-to-manage hair. His business hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays by appointment. While appointments are preferred, Leon does accept walk-ins. For individuals looking for a last minute haircut from a great barber, it is recommended that you come in mid-morning, before they get too busy. Parking along Park Blvd is metered, but you can usually find a parking spot on one of the residential side streets for free.
