Happy Donuts

Located in East Oakland’s Foothill Square district, Happy Donuts is a great place to grab a sweet treat or a tasty sandwich for breakfast or lunch. The shop reopened under new owners June of 2019.

Owner Don Ho provides donuts that are baked fresh daily. Croissants and bagels are baked daily, too! Stop by on your way to work for a bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich or a bagel with cream cheese. Don’t forget to snag a few donut holes to satisfy workday sugar cravings. Their lunch items include both hot and cold sandwiches and egg rolls. You can wash down your meal with a cool caffeinated beverage like Thai iced tea or iced coffee. But that’s not all.

Their donut selection is also great! They have all of the staples including maple bars, bear claws, old fashioned, and more! The most popular donuts are their classic glazed and strawberry frosted. Treat the kids, and yourself, to a warm fluffy donut as a midday snack. Do you enjoy playing Lotto? Grab a ticket or some scratchers at the counter.

Orders can be made ahead by phone. They also take special requests. Parking in the neighborhood is free and easy to find, so you don’t have to worry about circling the neighborhood to find a spot. Both cash and all major credit cards are accepted, just make sure to have bills under $20 if your carrying cash, the business does not keep enough change to break large bills.
