Complex Oakland is a multilevel entertainment space located in the center of Downtown Oakland. This ambitious venture includes two restaurants, a coffee bar, a concert hall, as well as venue rentals for private events.
Feral is located on the first floor. It can hold 125 people standing, and up to 50 people seated. Between the hours of 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM, this space is used as a coffee shop. Stop by for your morning beverage and pastry on the way to work or BART.
The Kitchen and Play is located on the second floor of Complex. It holds 500 people standing, and up to 200 people sitting. This space hosts a late night eatery that is open Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 PM and 3:00 AM.
The third floor holds the concert hall. Complex Concert Hall can hold up to 1000 people standing, and 350 people with theater seating. Music genres and events vary. Concerts held at Complex have included rap, hip hop, metal, punk rock, and electronic music. Concert dates vary, so check out the Complex website for upcoming shows and ticket purchases.
All spaces are available to rent for private events and have their own entrance, bars, and restrooms, as well as their own lighting and sound systems.
Parking can be limited in Downtown Oakland, and generally consists of metered street spaces or parking garages. 12th Street BART is one block away from the venue, as well as many AC transit lines.
