Cafe Da Huong

Vietnamese coffee shop with the best sua da in Oakland.

Cafe Da Huong is a Vietnamese coffee shop in the heart of the East Lake District. Unlike the popular third wave coffee house, this location offers two types of coffee drinks, black coffee or sua da, which is their black coffee with sweetened condensed milk. You can order either drink iced or hot.

Here, there is no pressure to notice the subtle flavor notes or aroma from the coffee bean. Instead, you just get to enjoy the instantaneous burst of energy from the high caffeine content and the delicious flavors of dark roasted coffee and sweetened condensed milk. If you don’t enjoy coffee, you can order tea, or grab a non-caffeinated beverage from their cold case. Cold case beverages include juice, soda, energy drinks, and teas.

In this cafe, you will find locals spending their day playing board games such as chess and Chinese checkers. They also watch sports on the television. If you are feeling lucky, take your chances playing the Lottery. There are plenty of scratcher options for you to choose from.

This location opens early and closes late. They have ample indoor seating, as well as a few seats out front. Stop by for a quick drink, or hang out and enjoy the vibe. Just make sure to carry cash when you visit, this cafe does not accept credit cards.

This business speaks English and Vietnamese.
