Ashara Ekundayo Gallery

Ashara Ekundayo Gallery (AEG) is an arts platform and community venue located in the Uptown/KONO Arts District in Oakland, CA that exclusively showcases contemporary art and new media works of Black womxn* of the African Diaspora, and artistic creations made in collaboration with Black womxn. Highlighting artistic production across a myriad of disciplines, AEG specializes in displaying works that investigate and inspire social and spiritual inquiry at the intersection of Fact x the Black feminist imaginary x Afrofuturism.

*womxn is an inclusive term that invites Black cis women, trans women and gender non-confirming folx.
