AHi Solutions, Inc.

Sleep diagnostic lab and treatment facility that works with examiners that are Board Certified in Sleep Medicine.

AHi Solutions is a fully staffed sleep diagnostic and treatment facility that has been operating in the Pill Hill district of Oakland since 2009.

The facility has six test rooms, two of which are attended rooms. Attended rooms allow the caretakers to have a comfortable resting space during the test period. There are no televisions in the rooms, but the facility has free WiFi for individuals who want to use their handheld devices or laptops.

A sleep test helps to diagnose several sleep disorders, the most common being sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is an obstruction of the airway that causes you to stop breathing while sleeping. This results in frequent interruptions during sleep, as well as increased heart rate. Common symptoms of sleep disorders are short term memory loss, attitude and behavior change, weight gain, and cardio issues. If you believe that you may have a sleep disorder, visit your primary care practitioner. He or she will assess your symptoms, and they will refer you to a sleep test facility for further assessment. Appointments begin at 7:00 PM.

Room choice is on a first-come, first-served basis, with special accommodations reserved for individuals with special needs. Lights are out at 11:00 PM or 12:00 PM, and the test period lasts between five and six hours. Patients are attached to various monitors that track brain wave information, leg movements, heart rate, body positions, and more. Patients are released at 6:00 AM, giving patients time to go home and get ready for their day. Your test results are compiled and sent to Dr. Andrew Greenberg for analysis. He is the lead pulmonologist and sleep disorder physician at Sutter Medical Center. Results can be sent to your primary physician in as quickly as five days.

AHi Solutions is the perfect facility for transit drivers to receive their DOT examinations. Most DOT examiners do not have Board Certification in Sleep Medicine. This means that once a driver is suspected of obstructive sleep apnea, he or she must go to multiple facilities before reaching the lab for sleep diagnostic services. Because AHi Solutions is associated with Board Certified examiners, you can go straight from examination to testing.

Are you a driver who has been diagnosed with sleep apnea? AHi offers in home delivery of CPAP devices. A CPAP device must be used four hours a day, four times a week to meet compliance, according to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration guidelines. AHi monitors you from your home to make sure that you are using your device as prescribed.

Call and speak with AHi’s wonderful support team to inquire about sleep diagnostic services. The staff speaks both English and Spanish, and they are happy to help you obtain the services you require. You can also fax AHi Solutions, Inc at (510) 835-5023.
