Rooz Cafe

Rooz Cafe is a mellow space that invites the community to enjoy delicious espresso drinks, food, beer, and art in the Ivy Hill district of Oakland.

Like the neighborhood it resides in, Rooz Cafe is a unique coffee shop that does not adhere to the status quo. Rather than minimalist decor, Rooz Cafe’s walls are filled with local art and quirky decor. There is one large communal table in the center of the room, as well as tables that accommodate small groups. There is also bar seating available if you want to have a beer and chat with the counter person.

Rooz is near Lake Merritt, hence it would be a great stop to grab your daily dose of caffeine and energy from Rooz after a workout. Since their weekdays tend to not be as busy as weekends, you could skip out on those long lines at chain coffee shops and grab a quick cup of coffee before work.
