As an immigrant from Afghanistan, Aslam moved to Oakland in 1992. He is self-taught in making and repairing jewelry, and he seized the opportunity to open a family jewelry business in Oakland. Aslam always has a huge selection of fine and costume jewelry. They have everything from engagement rings to bracelets! Hakimi even imports some of that materials from India, China, and Turkey.
