Peña’s Bakery No 2

Popular Latin bakeshop known for its pan dulce whipping up Mexican baked goods, pastries, and cakes.

Family-owned and-operated since 1997, Peña’s Bakery is a well-loved Mexican bakery located in Oakland. The owner, Ramon Peña, came to Oakland from Guadalajara, Mexico, bringing with him the flavors from a traditional panadería. Since opening the original Fruitvale location, Ramon’s son, Arturo, opened a second location on Foothill Blvd, tempting all passers-by with the comforting smell of freshly baked bread. Check out this heart-warming story about the history of Peña’s Bakery in East Bay Express.

The bakery offers over 100 freshly baked pastries at any given time. With so many options, you’ll always have something new and exciting to try when visiting Peña’s Bakery.Popular items include cakes, bread rolls, and traditional sweet breads called pan dulces. In fact, they have a huge following of loyal customers from all over the Bay who claim that their pan dulces are the best around!

Along with their popular pastries, Peña’s Bakery is loved for their delicious cakes. Have an upcoming special event? Celebrate with a  tres leches or strawberry filled sheet cake. It is sure to be a hit!
