Montclair Physical Therapy, Inc. offers high quality outpatient care to individuals of all ages.

Their highly trained physical therapists perform thorough assessments, address a variety of ailments, and perform rehabilitative and preventative measures that will keep your body in great form no matter what stage of life you are in. The practice was founded in 1989 by Simon Gibson, PT in the Montclair Village. Today, they have two offices serving Oakland, one still in Montclair and the other in Pill Hill.

The Montclair Village location is bright and modern. Their entire staff is warm and friendly, and everyone always greets you with a smile. The staff is multi-lingual to best serve their clients. The languages spoken at this office include English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Cantonese. They also have access to interpreters who speak many other languages if needed. This service is through UC Berkeley’s student medical translation services.

Montclair Physical Therapy, Inc. employs three physical therapists and two physical therapy assistants, all of whom have pursued advanced certifications and specializations. The three therapists at this location are Simon Gibson, Vidhi Vadera, Kelsey Coles, and Dhwani Shah. They are all highly skilled and well educated.

Simon Gibson has over 30 years of experience as a physical therapist. Simon is dedicated to helping you reach your physical therapy goals.

Vidhi Vadera is a certified Mulligan practitioner (joint mobilization), and she specializes in Vertigo treatment. She received her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University.

Dhwani Shah received her Bachelors of Physical Therapy (B.P.T.) from Sumandeep University in India in 2012. She is now continuing her studies and pursuing Doctorate of Physical Therapy (D. P. T.) from Arcardia Univeristy.

Henry Ngyen has been a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2015. He has experience working with various orthopedic and neuro injuries.

Clients can be referred to Montclair Physical Therapy, Inc. by their general practitioner. They also have the option to complete 12 visits in up to 45 days as a direct access client. Physical therapy is extremely important during the rehabilitation period after an injury. It can also help relieve symptoms of vertigo, Alzheimer’s Parkinson’s, and strokes while also strengthening your body to protect you from the effects.

They also offer preventative care for athletes. Preventative care is important for athletes of all ages. Whether you are playing high school football, training for your first marathon, or completing your 10th triathlon, it is important to use safe techniques while exercising. Preventative care is also important during the aging process. Physical therapists can teach you safe techniques for lifting objects, getting out of bed, and other daily tasks that become more taxing on your body as you age.

Montclair Physical Therapy, Inc. accepts all PPO insurance plans, and it is one of the few private practices that accepts Medicaid. At a time when most private physical therapy offices are moving towards an insurance free, or fee-for-service model, Montclair Physical Therapy is still a resource for individuals. They provide great one-on-one attention from fantastic practitioners.

There is metered street parking surrounding the building, as well as a small parking lot for clients. Visits are by appointment only, but the staff is very accommodating and accepts short notice appointments when possible.
