May Kong Market

Well stocked Cambodian market that offers specialty produce, spices, packaged foods, and more.

This business speaks English and Cambodian.

May Kong Market is a minority-owned and woman-owned Cambodian Market in Oakland’s San Antonio district. They have been a purveyor of Southeast Asian foods and kitchenware since 1996.

Their shop is conveniently located next door to International Lao Market. The two specialty stores work in harmony by selling slightly different, but equally authentic and hard to find ingredients for Asian cooking. If you can’t find what you are looking for in one market, you will likely find it at the other.

May Kong Market specializes in Cambodian groceries and snacks. They have a great selection of sauces and spices, as well as fresh produce that is key to Cambodian cooking. They also offer some freshly prepared Cambodian treats.

Parking in the neighborhood is free, but fills up quickly. You can usually find a space within a few blocks. AC Transit line 1 stops near-by on International Boulevard. Riding your bike is also an option. There is one bike rack in front of Monorom Video and it is easy to find a sign or pole to safely lock your bike to.
