Felipe Flores is the owner of this wonderful café. He has several years of experience in hospitality as an executive sous chef for popular hotels in the Bay Area. Felipe took over the Autobahn Café four years ago, employing the kindest staff. He wanted to bring the same level of high quality care that the original owner had brought to the casual dining experience.

The Autobahn Café prides itself on serving fresh, local, and wholesome food to the community. Ingredients are sourced locally, and prepared items including bread, sausage, dressings, and most baked goods are made in-house. Pastries that are not made in-house are ordered from the South San Francisco bakery, Bakers of Paris. They also serve Mr. Espresso coffee, which is roasted right down the street from the café.

This restaurant is clean and decorated in a way that gives a homey feeling. Because of its off the beaten path location, the café usually has ample seating. They also offer free WiFi to customers, making it a great place to enjoy a beautifully prepared espresso drink while you study or complete some work. For the driver, metered street parking in the area is easy to find. If you ride your bike, there are no designated bike racks in the area. However, you are encouraged to park your bike on the outside patio if you don’t feel comfortable locking it to a parking meter. The café is also a short walk from Broadway. Take the free Broadway Shuttle from Downtown to experience great customer service and perfectly prepared breakfast and lunch items.
